WHAT IS IT
ABOUT?

The renewal of percussion instruments is based on the need of various sectors of the UAP. We take into account the number of events and ensembles that use the same instruments and that, on several occasions, overlap the activities of the Symphony Band, the Children and Youth Orchestra, the Music Teaching Staff and the events of the UAP Church. All the percussion instruments we have already have many years of use. In addition, many of them are in imperfect conditions. The current situation of these demonstrates their deterioration: while some have missing parts, others are broken. This situation affects the quality of the interpretation that is intended to be achieved, especially given that the mentioned groups and events represent the UAP.

OBJECTIVE

The main objective of this project is the renewal of the percussion instruments that we already have and, if possible, add some that we do not have, but which would be very useful for our musical events. Here are listed the instruments to be renewed: Timpani, cymbals, drummer, concert bass drum, drumsticks (for each instrument), glockenspiel, triangle, tambourine. Also, if possible, we would like to expand the variety in percussion: More timpani (3), castanets, gong, tubular bells, xylophone, cowbell, maracas.
